Developers

An API built for agents, easy for people.

Anything the console can do, the API, the hl CLI, the SDKs and the MCP connector can do too. A console-only feature is a bug.

Surfaces

Agent-first API

Plan, quote, apply.

  • Plan, then apply

    Every mutating call can return a plan with the diff, quote, risk, effect classes and approvals needed. Apply checks nothing changed since the plan.

  • Quote before you run

    Price a manifest, a run or a fan-out to N agents without creating anything.

  • Errors that say how to fix them

    Every error carries the cause, the fix, and whether to retry, escalate or stop.

  • Authority only narrows

    A sub-agent gets a slice of its parent's budget and scope, never more.

hl CLI
$ hl plan fleet.yaml
  + fleet seo-weekly    runtime claude-code
  ~ budget              $30.00/mo, $0.50/run
  ! approval            pulls.merge
  quote                 ~$0.31/run + your tokens
  plan pln_7f2c expires in 15 min

$ hl apply pln_7f2c
  applied pln_7f2c fleet seo-weekly is scheduled

MCP connector in ChatGPT or Claude (illustrative)

you Deploy an agent that checks our docs for broken links every night. $10 a month max.
agent Planned fleet docs-links (nightly, cap $10/mo). Quote: about $0.04 per run. Apply?
you    Apply.
agent Applied. 1 approval waiting: pr-review wants to merge PR #212. [Approve] [Reject]

SDKs

TypeScript, Python and Go.

The SDKs are generated from the same contract as the CLI and the MCP connector, so plans, quotes and error types look the same everywhere. Package names and install steps will be in the docs as they ship.
